The Domaine des Deux Cedres is located in the small town of Gauric in the heart of the region of Bordeaux. Owners Sofie and Eric extend a warm welcome to guests, and encourage them to relax in the friendly atmosphere of their newly renovated country house.
The Domaine has been owned by the Regnier family for seven generations, and old winery tools are still kept to tell the story to visitors. The fermenting room and the cellar are the most impressive pieces of the previous winemaking activity.
The architecture of the building is typical of the region and combines new elements with traditional ones offering five all-comfort rooms, decorated with a different travel theme.
The Family Suite comes with two bedrooms with views of the vineyards, and a large bathroom with separate toilets. The Cedre de Goa room also faces the vineyards, with a homely fireplace and a luxurious bathroom equipped with jet shower.
Cedre d’ Himalaya room offers a double bedroom with views of the swimming pool, while the Cedre de Chypre room is situated on the ground floor offering a sunny, vast double bedroom. All rooms come with a double bed, but can accommodate twin beds if necessary.
Breakfast made with traditional homemade products is included in the price of the room and is served, depending on the weather, either besides the pool or in front of the fireplace. In the evenings, guests can choose from one of the two dinner menus with suggestions made especially by the owners.
If you want to explore the area, Sofie and Eric are more than happy to help you organise your day; with their vast local knowledge to call upon, choose from wine orientated activities, hiking, chateaux visits, sightseeing of the Citadel of Blaye, playing golf and many more.
Stays are guaranteed only by the receipt of a deposit and are deducted from your bill upon your arrival. The deposits must be made within 5 days of the date of the reservation. The requested deposit of 1 night per person, declared at time of booking, shall be by credit card. The receipt of the deposit confirms your reservation. The payment of the deposit implies the acceptance of the general terms and conditions as presented for the rental of the guest rooms. A reservation confirmation will be sent by mail or a letter to be signedand returned accompanied by the deposit.
Currency conversion is supplied as a guide only; the exchange rate used by your bank may vary. The final payment will be charged in the local or original local currency shown.
Cancellation by the customer: Cancellations must be notified by letter, fax or mail or telephone to the owner.
Cancellation before the start of stay:
- If the cancellation occurs more than 72 hours before the beginning of the stay, the deposit will be returned to the client
- If the cancellation occurs less than 72 hours before the beginning of the stay, the deposit remains with the owner of Deux Cedars, unless the reason for a later cancellation can be duely justified.
- If the client does not appear before 19:00 on the scheduled start day of their stay, the contract becomes void of right and the owner of Deux Cedars has the right to rent the rooms to another occupant unless the delay can be duely justified. The deposit remains with the owners of Deux Cedars.
In case of shortened stay, the price corresponding to the full cost of the accommodation(s) remains with the owners of Deux Cedars except in cases that can be duely justified.
Cancellation by the owner: if, before the beginning of the stay, the owner cancels the stay, he must inform the client by registered letter with signature upon delivery. The client will be refunded immediately and fully any sums already paid. In addition, the client will receive compensation for any incurred costs that arise because of said cancellation.
