Viñas de Cafayate was once a private home, and is set around a central square, with the rooms running along the sides of the square. This layout is actually very effective and, in the case of the Viñas, where there is a second, covered balcony around the outside of the square, it allows all of the 22 rooms to have a view, either out across the vines, or to the San Isidro mountains, or to the Calchaqui valley in the distance.
On-site, the resort boasts a large outdoor swimming pool and solarium, a cosy lounge with a fireplace and library, and a boutique with a selection of regional silver jewellery and exclusive crafts.
The gourmet restaurant serves delicious menus created from the finest locally sourced produce, including fresh vegetables and herbs from the resort's organic garden, and guests can also enjoy a magnificent range of local wines from Viñas de Cafayate's well stocked cellar.
