The ideal way to shake things up and impress a date, or go along with a bunch of mates, avail yourself of the extensive snack menu, and have yourselves a celebration.

Coral Rooms, Bloomsbury

The bold, deep red decor of the Coral Rooms is reason enough to visit at any time of year, but on Valentine’s Day, nothing could set the mood more perfectly. This decadent club in the heart of Bloomsbury harks back to the golden age of cocktails, taking inspiration for its lavish interiors and luxurious dishes from the good old days of the roaring twenties. A gorgeous setting for a first date or a fifty-first date, bonus points for being incredibly instagrammable.

‘Sip and Shuck’ with Friexenet!

Staying in on Valentine’s Day might sound like a bit of a cop out (or it might sound like the best idea ever), but there’s no need for staying inside to mean missing out on all the fun. In fact, your own sofa might be the cosiest and most romantic place to enjoy a Valentine’s Day feast. Spanish sparkling wine brand, Freixenet, will be teaming up with seafood restaurant, Galley to launch a luxury delivery service. Pre-order via Galley London on Deliveroo (up to 24 hours in advance) and enjoy a delicious seafood platter and dessert, as well as a bottle of Freixenet’s premium Cordon Rosado, all delivered right to your door!

Pretty Woman at the Rivoli Ballroom

Anyone who remembers that piano scene (and has never been able to look at a piano in the same way again) will probably agree that Pretty Woman, starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, is the ultimate Valentine’s Day film. So get yourselves down to the Pop Up cinema at the Rivoli Ballroom and enjoy a classic romantic movie with the Vivian to your Edward! The Rivoli has two bars (always better than one bar, in our experience) and will be serving all the popcorn and hotdogs your heart desires.

Book tickets here.

We’re still dreaming about all the wonderful food and wine we enjoyed when we visited Terroirs, a charming new wine bar in South London. The cosy atmosphere makes it an ideal place for a date night, and the extensive wine list (not to mention knowledgeable, friendly sommeliers) means that you can enjoy excellent wine all night long.

Read all about Terroirs, here, or visit their website for bookings and enquiries.
