Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made by your reservations department in writing by e-mail:

  • You receive 100% refund in case the tour is cancelled 72 hours prior to the start time of the tour. 
  • You are refunded 50% of the amount in case the tour is cancelled between 72 hours and 24 hours before the start time. 
  • If the tour is cancelled less than 24 hours before the time it begins, then you are entitled to no refund

George Ionas was born and raised in Athens. His childhood was spent in the historical center of Athens. From grandfather to father and from father to son, the aroma’s and the knowledge of the historical market were engraved on his childhood. The great ingredients were brought home. From grandmother to mother and from mother to son , the art of cooking was showed and stay with him. While still a student his first food was run to his class mates that ignored this amazing part of the city. After graduating as a civil engineer, his passion about food remained. While being a food expert – business owner on production of traditional products, from farm to shelf businesses he wanted to pass this knowledge down to the general public. He wanted to educate people about the history, the productions processes as well as the tasting of food. Not just for them to know. But to EAT BETTER – being able to judge and understand quality characteristic wherever they are. He started educating tasty food tours for the local Athenian’s of the suburbs that ignored but still where curious about the food adventures called Eating Athens in the historical center of Athens.
