1:45 pm: You will leave Bordeaux and drive along the “chateaux route” of the Medoc region, pass by mythical names such as Margaux, Saint-Julien, Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe. On your way, the guide will draw a clearer picture of the Bordeaux wines that are often not very easy to understand with around 7000 chateaux and strict rules and various wine appellations.
The wines you will taste are blends (like all the Bordeaux wines) primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, who is King in the area. Cabernet has a powerful and rich taste. Combined with the finesse of the Merlot, it makes beautiful, balanced and complex wines.
