Argentine Food Class in Buenos Aires

See for yourself the result of years of gastronomical exploration

Tour type: Group , Duration: 3 Hours

Product ID: 51626
Description

Learn how to cook traditional Argentine dishes during this 3-hour cooking class in Buenos Aires.
While beef is the backbone of Argentina's daily diet, there are plenty of other tasty treats worth trying in the world's eighth-largest country. Besides taking inspiration from Italian and Spanish migrants, Argentina's dishes also feature ingredients from the Andean northwest as well as Patagonia in the south.
You only need to bring a willingness to learn and have fun, because all the ingredients and materials will be provided.
Start with chipa bread, an incredible gooey cheese bread from the north of Argentina with indigenous influences. Next, you will be making the dough and filling for the corn empanadas, Argentina's favorite street food.
You will also be shown how to properly prepare and taste traditional mate.
Next, prepare Carbonada criolla (local meat stew) which originally came from Belgium and then adapted to local tastes.
The class ends with alfajores stuffed with dulce de leche (yummy local milk and sugar sweet).
At the end of the class you will taste the dishes previously cooked, accompanied by a glass of Argentine Malbec wine.

Organized by

julia grosman

After Julia Grosman lived in London and took many trips around the world, she realized that most of her traveling pictures were about food (it’s probably happened to you if you are a food lover like Julia!) and that the thing she enjoyed the most about each country was to discover the culinary wonders each place had to offer. Once she came back home she decided that she wanted everyone visiting her hometown, Buenos Aires, to have the opportunity to experience the amazing local cuisine, culture and wine.
