Burgundy's landscape is slightly hilly and very picturesque, dotted with medieval villages and historic towns. Some say that Burgundy is a little bit like Provence without the crowds.
The tour starts in Dijon, capital of the Ducs of Burgundy (also famous for its mustard). Continue through Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. Burgundy cuisine is justly famous – snails, Charolais beef, Bress chicken and wonderful cheeses. The region of Burgundy won’t have any secrets for you!
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Dijon
Upon arrival and check-in at the hotel, you are free to relax or explore the city. Dijon is a vibrant, walkable city with a wealth of great shops, restaurants and bars and a really welcoming vibe to it. There are many museums, churches and traditional buildings to discover including the Palais des Ducs and the church of Notre Dame.
Enjoy a presentation of the tour and bikes. Enjoy dinner by yourself, but you will be provided with suggestions.

The tour starts in Dijon, capital of the Ducs of Burgundy (also famous for its mustard). Continue through Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy. Burgundy cuisine is justly famous – snails, Charolais beef, Bress chicken and wonderful cheeses. The region of Burgundy won’t have any secrets for you!
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Dijon
Upon arrival and check-in at the hotel, you are free to relax or explore the city. Dijon is a vibrant, walkable city with a wealth of great shops, restaurants and bars and a really welcoming vibe to it. There are many museums, churches and traditional buildings to discover including the Palais des Ducs and the church of Notre Dame.

Day 2: Dijon to Nuits Saint Georges ~30km
Meet your bike guide in the morning and leaving Dijon behind, you will cycle into the countryside where the Route de Grands Crus begins.
Arrive into the region of Gevrey Chambertin, the largest appellation in Côte de Nuits, Pinot Noir country, and where you find some of France’s most famous wines including Vosne-Romanée, Fixin, Chambertin-clos-de-Bèze, Flagey-Echézeaux, Vougeot, Richebourg.
Cycle on through the wine regions of Morey Saint Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot with vineyards all along the way on either side of you offering breathtaking scenery and crisp, fresh air!
Enjoy a visit and wine tasting at a wine estate followed by a leisurely lunch in one of the many, nice restaurants on the way.
Dinner will be served in Nuit Saint Georges, where you will also spend the night.
Day 3: Nuits Saint Georges – Beaune ~30km



Cycle from the delightful little town of Nuit St Georges and on to the small city of Beaune, the capital of the Burgundy wine lands. There is plenty to see and do here. The famous Hospices de Beaune, a hospital built in the 15th century to look after Beaune’s poor and sick is also very interesting as is the Athénaeum, a bookshop, shop and wine cellar dedicated to the art of wine making.
Enjoy an extensive visit of one of the many wine cellars in the city, with an opportunity to taste amazing wines.
There is also a fabulous shop where you can sample and buy a huge variety of delicious mustards. 
Day 4: Beaune to Beaune roundtrip ~ 40km






Loop ride that will allow you to discover the fairy-tale castle of La Rochepot, overlooking the village. It is a photo opportunity not to be missed (take the back road from St Aubin) but be alert for the other cyclists who stop suddenly at times to take photos!
You will continue back to Beaune by the Côte de Beaune vineyards through the best known winemaking villages such as Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Pommard.
Enjoy a delicious lunch on the way.
Day 5: Departure after breakfast.

Payment Policy

Toute commande ne sera effective qu’après signature du contrat et règlement d’un acompte égal à 50% du montant total estimé du prix du voyage établi à l’ordre de « ACTIVE TOURS ». Le règlement du solde devra intervenir au plus tard 30 jours avant la date de début des prestations.

En cas de réservation moins de 30 jours avant le départ, le client devra régler la totalité du prix au moment de la commande. A défaut d’avoir réglé l’intégralité du prix dans les délais ci-dessus, le client sera réputé avoir annulé sa commande et sera redevable des frais d’annulation prévus ci-après.

Cancellation Policy

For a modification of a confirmed booking, it will be invoiced fees based on : 40 Euros per booking.

 For any cancellation, it will be invoiced fees on the following bases :

If cancellation arrives 42 days before the beginning of the tour: 40€ per booking

Between 42 and 30 days: 200€ per booking

Between 30 and 21 days: 25% of the total amount of the trip

Between 21 and 14 days: 50% of the total amount of the trip

Between 14 and 0 days: 100% of the total amount of the trip
