Tour type: Private , Duration: 9 Hours 30 Minutes

Product ID: 12759
Description

Explore the famous Grande Champagne region with an English speaking certified "Cognac Educator" and local guide driving you through the vineyards where the best cognacs are produced. You may fully enjoy your tastings and meetings with traditional producers hidden in the vines. Our excursions depart from the cities of Cognac and Angoulême.
This day tour is an interesting way to approach various philosophies in the making of cognacs. You will visit 2 family estates with their distilleries. You will taste their products - single estate cognacs. You will also visit a traditional cooperage (not open to public) to understand the impact of oak wood in the aging of spirits.
The tour is also an opportunity to discover Romanesque churches, typical sceneries of a terroir considered by many as the “French Tuscany”.
At a typical restaurant, you'll have a nice lunch (incl. drinks)
Your guide is a “Cognac Educator” officially certified by BNIC, the Cognac interprofessional association, which is keen to offer its knowledge of places and people to help you discover  the hidden side of the Cognac country.

Jean-Luc

I am a “Cognac Educator” officially certified by BNIC, the Cognac Interprofessional Association, and I have also followed a professional training with cognac distillers, as guaranties of quality and level of knowledge on the Cognac country that I bring to my guests. I live near the city of Cognac in the heart of the Grande Champagne vineyards, area where is the biggest concentration of traditional professional distilleries in the world. There, my wife runs a guest mansion and all our neighbours are wine makers and run their own distillery.
