Discover the Loire Valley and two of the region’s key winemaking regions, Chinon and Vouvray with this 3-day wine break.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Upon arrival in Tours, check into a comfort room at the 4-star Oceania L’Univers B&B. 
After settling in, you will visit a premium estate in Vouvray for a tour of the domaine and cellars. Enjoy a tasting of five of the region’s white Chenin Blanc-based wines, including the domaine’s Réserve Spéciale paired with local delicacies such as cheeses and rillettes.
The afternoon and evening will be free to explore the city and relax.
Day 2: After breakfast, travel to Chinon by train. Upon arrival in the beautiful riverside town, you will be welcomed as a VIP guest at one of the town’s best producers. Your guide will accompany you on a tour of the estate and cellars, where you will see first-hand the winemaking process from press to bottle. Next, you will travel to a 15th Century winemaking Château for a visit of their Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc vineyards and a tour of the cellars, followed by a tasting session in the Château’s historic tasting room.
Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch paired a bottle of wine on the Château’s stunning grounds.
The afternoon will be free to explore the riverside town of Chinon before taking the train back to Tours at your convenience.
In the evening, a three course dinner will be served in a premium brasserie in Tours with drinks.
Day 3: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departure.

Payment Policy

£100 per person deposit payable to secure your reservation (of 20% of booking if the total price per person exceeds £500).

Final balance payable 60 days before date of departure.

Currency conversion is supplied as a guide only; the exchange rate used by your bank may vary. The final payment will be charged in the local or original local currency shown.


Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking once we have received your booking form, you must contact us as soon as possible, initially by phone when we will advise you of any cancellation charges and then you should confirm your intention in writing. We will not treat a booking as cancelled until we receive your written confirmation. Costs are incurred by us from the time we confirm your booking and thus we cannot give full refunds of payments made. If some members of your group cancel, those cancelling are subject to these charges and we reserve the right to change the price for remaining members of the group based on the revised group size. Refunds will be given on the following basis:  

Number of days prior to the start of your holiday when written notification is received by the tour guide:

a) Cancellation charge per person cancelling 60 days or more - loss of deposit;

b) 59-28 days - 50%;

c) 27-14 days - 70%;

d) 13-8 days - 90%

and e) 7 days or less - 100%.

As we require all customers to have adequate travel insurance, you should contact your insurer to see if any of these charges will be refunded by them. This will depend on the terms of your policy and your reason for cancelling. If you cancel part of your booking, we will pass on any charges incurred by us and charge an administration fee of £20.

A revised booking confirmation / invoice will be issued following changes made.
