Staying at a private chateau in the Loire Valley, discover the region, meet winemakers and taste amazing wines, and celebrate the 500 year anniversary of the Renaissance with this 4-day VIP private tour.
 
Day 1: Upon arrival in the city of Vendôme (from Paris, 42 minutes, city of Vendôme, TGV station), you will be welcomed by your guide. Enjoy a pleasant country drive to your private château and check into your room. This private château will be your residence for the duration of your stay. We will be the only group staying at the château.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at the chateau and then leave for Chambord where you will spend most of the day. 
In the early evening, you will have your first Loire valley wine tasting. Dinner will be held at the beautiful restaurant Le Plessis, located in Le Jardin de Sasnière, a private awarded garden.

Day 1: Upon arrival in the city of Vendôme (from Paris, 42 minutes, city of Vendôme, TGV station), you will be welcomed by your guide. Enjoy a pleasant country drive to your private château and check into your room. This private château will be your residence for the duration of your stay. We will be the only group staying at the château.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at the chateau and then leave for Chambord where you will spend most of the day. 
In the early evening, you will have your first Loire valley wine tasting. Dinner will be held at the beautiful restaurant Le Plessis, located in Le Jardin de Sasnière, a private awarded garden.
 
Day 2: After breakfast, discover the City of Amboise and the Clos Lucé. Amboise is where Leonardo da Vinci spent the last years of his life, guest of the French King François I. The Clos Lucé is located in the center of the town next to the château of Amboise, surrounded by beautiful gardens. Tour the castle and visit Leonardo da Vinci's studio.
You will stay in Amboise for a gourmet lunch, and then drive to the château of Chenonceau build over the river.
Return to your château where and start the evening with a Loire valley wine tasting with a focus on white wines. Learn about the winemaking process and the Loire valley wine appellations.
After a gourmet dinner, you will be able to relax on the grounds of the château and explore the private forest if you like.
 
Day 3:  After breakfast, leave for the city of Saumur, and after a short stop, drive to a private train station and board a restored restaurant wagon from the era of the famous Trans Orient Express. The steam train will take you on a 3-hour journey during which you will have a gourmet lunch and wine pairing.
In the afternoon, you will visit the famous abbey of Fontevraud, a unique abbey which was run by Leonor d’Aquitaine, and where Richard the Lion heart is burried.
You will then return at your château for a wine tasting of sparkling wines. Celebrate your last dinner at the château with good food and live music. 
 
Day 4: The last day of your tour will also be exceptional. After breakfast, travel to the city of Orléans, famous for the history of Joan of Arc. Follow the passage of Joan of Arc in Orléans city which she liberated from the English in the middle ages 100 year war. Visit the Saint Croix cathedral and many of the places where Joan of Arc lived.
Enjoy lunch with a view of the Loire river banks. In the afternoon, return to Paris from the TGV station in Orléans.
