Day 2: After breakfast, meet your driver for a private transfer to Cherasco. Walk at leisure around the town’s centre before visiting Bra, the home of “cheese”, a free event held in the streets and squares of its historic centre, where you will find the Market, thematic spaces (Slow Food stands, the Literary Café and the Biodiversity House) and other entertainment and education activities.
Farmers, herders, cheesemakers and cheesemongers will be filling Piazza Carlo Alberto and Piazza Roma, using their quality products to communicate their shared passion for all things dairy. In the 3,000 square meters of display space, you’ll find delicacies and rarities from around the world, and you’ll be able to sample the results of an attention to the highest quality, care for the environment and the landscape and respect for all the people involved in the production process.
Take your time to visit the stands and learn all you can about the different cheeses. Enjoy cheese tastings paired with the best Italian wines!
Later in the afternoon visit Alba, the capital of the Langhe region, and wander at leisure in the city centre before stopping at a local historical osteria for a nice organized dinner with “salsiccia di Bra”, “vitello tonnato” and a superb “panna cotta” as dessert. Then return to your hotel for the night.
Day 3: After breakfast join the local friendly chef for an amazing challenge of your culinary ability, preparing the simple traditional recipes that better match with truffles, from “tajarin” (fresh eggs pasta) to raw meat or cheese fondue, and enjoy a convivial lunch with the chef.
In the afternoon meet the truffle hunter and his faithful dog and start an emotional truffle hunting in the woods; celebrate the successful hunt with a wine tasting in a renowned award-winning winery accompanied by truffle based appetizers.
Return to the hotel for a truffle-based dinner.
Day 4: Visit the ancient hamlet of Pollenzo for a private tour and wine tasting in the Wine Bank, not a simple cellar but a unique reality in the world, created by Slow Food.
Then continue the itinerary along the Barolo wine route and stop in La Morra for a spectacular 360 degrees view over the region. Visit an artisanal “pasticceria” and love the typical artisanal sweet specialties as “paste di meliga” or “baci di dama”.
Enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant with Langhe hills view and visits at leisure to the hamlets or wineries before returning in hotel for relax and dinner.
Day 5: Spend the mornign at leisure before departure.

The 20th anniversary of the “Cheese” event, the great exhibition dedicated to quality artisanal cheeses and an unmissable event for anyone who’s passionate about good, clean and fair food takes place fomr 15th to 18th September 2017.
The tour can be modified to suit your needs.
