Combine the discovery of Provence by electric assisted bike and the exclusive oenological activities of the internationally renowned private wine estate, Chêne Bleu with this 5-day bike and wine tour.

Located in the heart of Provence, La Verrière, a former 9th century priory is completely renovated to the highest standards. It is a paradise where serenity and beauty will take your breath away. It is a magical place, UNESCO Biosphere and home to Chêne Bleu’s vineyard and wines, whose production is internationally recognized and widely acclaimed for its high altitude terroir, gaining high-level recognition genuine for its pioneering approach to high-end wine production. The “Chêne Bleu Extreme Wine Experience” is recognized as “the best oenological experience in the world” by Condé Nast Traveler.

Itinerary:

Day 1: After pick up at Avignon TGV station, it is a 45min transfer to La Verrière. During the welcome lunch, you will be presented with the details of the week’s programme and introduced to the team who will make your stay unforgettable. In the afternoon, your guide will accompany you for the first bike trip through the vineyards and the Massif des Dentelles in the surrounding area of La Verrière.

In the evening, you will enjoy an aperitif and a convivial dinner at the estate.

Day 2: After breakfast, head off with the guide for a half-day biking tour through the Massif des Dentelles to include Séguret, Sablet, then Gigondas.

Enjoy a bistronomic lunch at L’Oustalet restaurant before returning to La Verrière by bike or by vehicle.

In the afternoon participate in an oenological activity: "An introduction to wine tasting and the Art of Blending".

In the evening, you will enjoy an aperitif and a convivial dinner at the estate.

Day 3: Depart by bike with the guide and the Chef for the Vaison la Romaine market to buy local produce needed for the cooking class.

Enjoy lunch at the Bastide du Pont de l’Orme. On the return to La Verrière, visit an olive grove and experience an olive oil themed presentation and tasting.

In the afternoon, participate in an oenological activity "Discovery of selected wines of the Rhone Valley".

The day will conclude with a cooking class, the fruits of which will be enjoyed for dinner in the company of the chef.

Day 4: Head off with the guide for a half-day biking tour through the Massif des Dentelles and discover the Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise. Enjoy a presentation and tasting in a renowned estate, followed by lunch at the Dolium restaurant in Beaumes-de-Venise.

Return to the Domaine de la Verrière by bike or by vehicle for the oenological activity "Discover organic, natural and biodynamic wines". In the evening, enjoy a gastronomic dinner at La Verrière.

Day 5: After breakfast, depart for a morning visit to the historical town of Avignon with a private guide.

Enjoy a farewell lunch at the restaurant Le Prieuré, a 1-star Michelin before your transfer to Avignon train station for departure.
