Discover the natural wonders of la Provence: olive groves, fruit trees and wine!

This ideal 2-nights short break in Chateauneuf-du-Pape combines cycling and walking through the most famous vineyards in the world whilst learning more about the secrets of the Cotes du Rhone wines.

Enjoy a wine tasting before cycling or walking under the warm Provençal sun, past gnarled vines that have produced award-winning wines for over 700 years.

Day 1: Your trip starts in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Check in your hotel and explore the medieval cobbled streets.

Day 2: In the morning, a local wine expert will reveal a wealth of secrets about the vines and explain the key elements of the winemaking process as you visit the cellars and taste four to five wines per estate. The tasting characteristics, ageing potential and varying influences of the terroir and cellar methods will all be described.

In the afternoon discover at your own pace the natural wonders of la Provence on an easy self-guided loop ride with an ebike around Chateuneuf du Pape, passing renowned wine estates, and touring around the small Oiselay island before returning to the village. Cycling time about: 1h30 mins. 17km +30m / -30m. After your ride return to your hotel.

Day 3: You can choose between different self-guided loop walks through the fabulous local vineyards, alongside tracks packed with the red rocks that were deposited here 15,000 years ago, at the end of the last Ice Age.

Please note: Transfers to and from Chateauneuf du Pape can be reserved upon request 60€ from 1 to 4 guests per transfer from Avignon.
