Come mid-afternoon, the journey will continue as you travel through Kilmartin Glen to the port of Kennacraig where you will catch the evening ferry to Islay. Make sure to look out for dolphins, whales, and seabirds on your 2-hour crossing.
On arrival, it is just a short drive to Bowmore for your 3-night stay.

Day 2: Explore Islay’s beautiful viewpoints, white sand beaches, and famous whiskies.
In the morning, you will be driven to the west of the island where you will visit the Kilchoman Distillery, the newest and smallest distillery on the island. After enjoying lunch in the distillery, the tour will continue to the scenic Rhinns of Islay to visit Bruichladdich for another chance to taste delicious single malt whisky.
The last stop will be Bowmore where you will have the chance to visit the distillery or relax and explore the village.

Day 3: Explore the southern side of the island, home to the smokiest and peatiest of all whiskies: Laphroaig, Lagavulin, and Ardbeg.
Firstly, you will visit Ardbeg for a tour, tasting, and lunch. The restaurant is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy local produce.
After this, there will be a visit to Laphroaig, and if there’s time, a short stop for a tasting at Lagavulin. It may also be possible to visit the ruins of Kildalton church and see its famous 8th Century Celtic cross.

Day 4: The ferry will depart for the mainland in the morning. From here the tour will continue around the coast to the beautiful village of Inveraray on the banks of Loch Fyne. The town is full of historic buildings, old ships in the harbour and a great whisky shop!
Return to Edinburgh via the breathtaking Loch Lomond.
