You will learn about the Sagrantino grape by following different approaches of production, enjoy wine and food samples and be delighted by people, climate and great landscapes. Sagrantino is the most precious native grape in Umbria. This wine was once used by friars during religious rites, leading to the name Sagrantino, similar to the Italian word for sacraments. Other famous grapes are Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet for the red grape, as well as the indigenous Grechetto and Trebbiano Spoletino for the white grape.
 
You will meet at least three wine producers in person and learn the difference between the Italian production disciplinary IGT, DOC, DOCG wines and taste these amazing wines.
 
Get a real taste for Umbria and enjoy tastings of cured meats such as Prosciutto, Salami, local cheeses such as Pecorini and Caprini and extra vergin olive oil.
 
A traditional Umbrian lunch will be served in an Osteria, paired with Umbrian wines.

The tour program might be changed and the order of activities altered due to weather or other unforeseeable circumstances.

We highly advice you to purchase travel insurance in the event of emergency, illness of yourself or your family, change in your itinerary, accident or act of God, which we are not responsible for covering.

In case of partial or total cancellation before 90 days from the beginning of the tour the initial deposit will be returned minus  €70,00 administrative fee. No deposit will be refunded for cancellations later than 90 days from the beginning of the tour.

No refunds will be provided for any non-refundable amounts paid unless the tour is canceled by us due to unforeseeable reasons.
