Discover the world of Prosecco, the traditional sparkling white wine of the Veneto

Tour type: Private , Duration: 8 Hours

Product ID: 9505
Description

The lush green hills of the Prosecco wine growing region form a triangle that includes the towns of Valdobbiadene, Conegliano and Vittorio Veneto. This picturesque area lies just an hour's drive northeast of Venice itself. This important wine region is characterised by steep hills covered by vineyards and framed by the nearby Dolomite mountains.

Here the very air itself smells of grapes and wine and the wonderfully simple local cuisine. Even the ancient Romans appreciated the fine wines produced here.

Departing from Venice, enjoy a scenic drive through the lush green hills where you can see different types of vineyards.

First you will visit a winery near Valdobbiadene. Meet the winemaker and learn about the winemaking process before a guided wine tasting of all of the wines they produce.

Enjoy a traditional light lunch in a trattoria including antipasto, first course, and a home-made desert, before a scenic drive to Bigolino to the second winery. Learn about the “Charmat” method used to produce Prosecco directly from the winemaker and enjoy a Prosecco wine tasting.
