Drive through the scenic and breathtaking Valpolicella Valley, past olive groves and classical villas surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and orchards. 
You will see the historic vineyards as you explore this wine region also known to Ancient Greeks as the “Valley of the Many Cellars”. 
Stop for a traditional lunch of antipasto (salami and/or cheese), risotto or homemade pasta, and homemade dessert.
Visit 2 cantinas and tour the vineyards and barricaias (cellars). You will learn about the winemaking process and techniques of the wine region. Enjoy wine tastings of 5 different Valpolicella wines including Amarone and Recioto paired with cheese, selected by a sommelier.

Cancellation Policy

An administration fee of 25 euro is applied and isn't refundable. The cancellation fees are:

  • Cancellations more than 8 days before the date of the tour: no charge (except the administration fee of 25 euro).
  • Cancellations within 7 days of the date of the tour: 80% of the total amount.
  • Total amount for no shows.

Mario, a native of Milan, is a graduate of the University of Bologna, a certified Sommelier (Associazione Italiana Sommeliers) and Master Cheese Taster (Organizazione Nazionale Assaggiatori Formaggi). He has many years of hands-on experience organising specialised Italian travel. Mario is also an experienced wine educator, and particularly enjoys organising regular wine tasting seminars for the U.S. diplomatic corps in Italy. In the past Mario led a seminar on Italian wine and food for the undergraduate students of Boston University studying in Padova. One of his favorite areas in Italy is Valpolicella, famous for its Amarone wine, and frequently takes visitors there on vineyard tours and wine tastings, as a Veneto wine connoisseur.
