Discover Veneto and spend a day in the beautiful countryside at a centuries-old abbey learning about local wine production and tasting the wine produced there with this full-day wine tour.
You’ll be picked up in the morning and head to the nearby Euganean Hills, admiring views of the scenic countryside en route.
Monks have been making wine at the Abbey of Praglia for at least 1,000 years. Visit the vineyards and cellars where you’ll learn about the growing and production methods.
Enjoy tastings of their painstakingly produced wines, including well-structured whites, robust reds, Champagne-method sparkling wines, and dessert wines. Your guide for the day, a certified Italian sommelier, will use this wine tasting session to introduce you to the the grapes and wines of the area.
You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the Abbey’s beautiful cloisters, refectory, and church.

To complete your reservation, a deposit of euro 100 needs to be sent through PayPal  in order to confirm your tour.   The transaction will be processed by our US location in the name of Rhoda Erdman.

 The balance will be paid in cash on the day of your tour or by paypal 10 days before the tour

Currency conversion is supplied as a guide only; the exchange rate used by your bank may vary. The final payment will be charged in the local or original local currency shown.


Cancellation Policy

Non-refundable administration fee of Euro 100/tour in case of cancellation more than 10 days before the tour date.

Cancellations made from 10 days before the tour date to the day before the tour results in full payment due.

Mario

Mario, a native of Milan, is a graduate of the University of Bologna, a certified Sommelier (Associazione Italiana Sommeliers) and Master Cheese Taster (Organizazione Nazionale Assaggiatori Formaggi). He has many years of hands-on experience organising specialised Italian travel. Mario is also an experienced wine educator, and particularly enjoys organising regular wine tasting seminars for the U.S. diplomatic corps in Italy. In the past Mario led a seminar on Italian wine and food for the undergraduate students of Boston University studying in Padova. One of his favorite areas in Italy is Valpolicella, famous for its Amarone wine, and frequently takes visitors there on vineyard tours and wine tastings, as a Veneto wine connoisseur.
