A 7 days Wine Tour Experience in Armenia

 Embark on a captivating wine tour in Armenia, where ancient winemaking traditions and breathtaking landscapes converge to create a truly immersive experience. 

Day 1: Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Check in.

Day 2: After breakfast we’ll start the city tour, during the tour you will see the most beautiful sights in Yerevan, like the Republic Square, where you’ll see the stone carpet right in the middle, hiding history of 3000 years underneath. Then the route will lead us to the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet of Armenia, towards which you will go through Northern Avenue, which is the relatively new part of the city. Afterwards, from the top of Cascade Monument you will admire the enchanting panorama of Yerevan and the biblical Mount Ararat - the legendary resting place of Noah's Ark. Afterwards we’ll visit a unique winery in Yerevan with a 150-year history of traditional family winemaking. The limited production covers seven wines. The production technology is traditionally craft, fermentation takes place on wild yeast, all wines are aged in barrels or clay amphoras. We will taste 4 types of barrel age wines - Rose, Kangun White, Red Areni, Karmrahyut red wine and 1 type of Clay Aged wine-Areni Karas. Our lunch is also planned here. 

Day 3: After having breakfast at the hotel we will drive to Amberd Fortress. After admiring Amberd we offer you to choose between 2 options:
1.Wine tour in Voskevaz Winery
2. Yeganyans' Wine yard
In Voskevaz Winery we will taste 2 classic and 3 vintage types of wines. These wines reflect the true nature of Armenia. The wines are produced only from local grape varieties and for wine aging are used rare high-quality Armenian oak barrels.
 In Yeganyan's wine yard we will have a winetasting of 4 types of home-made wines and will learn about the history of the family wine production. 
After this amazing experience we’ll be back to Yerevan.
 

Day 4: Today we will visit Khor Virap monastery. In close proximity, we'll venture to a local winemaker's haven. Here, amidst the scenic vineyards, our host will unveil the secrets of winemaking, sharing the rich history of their production as we indulge in a delightful wine-tasting experience. 
Continuing our expedition, we'll journey towards Armenia's esteemed wine region, Vayots Dzor. Our destination: one of the region's premier wineries. Here we’ll have wine tasting of 1 white wine, 1 rosé, 2 red reserve wines & an aged grappa and we will feel the real taste of Armenian wines unique to this region.

Day 5: After having a short city tour in Dilijan-one of the most important and beautiful towns in Tavush region- we will drive to Yenokavan. Thanks to its breathtaking scenery, spectacular landscapes, and magnificent views, Yenokavan has become one of the most visited places by travelers in recent years. Here at a local house we will have wine tasting in a very pleasant atmosphere. You will be served 3 types of wine- white dry Kangun, Tigrani or Karmrahyut red wine and reserved red wine.

Day 6: Today we’ll drop in Ashtarak to visit Armenia Wine Factory to experience wine-making process and to know the history of wines of the region of Aragatsotn. On our way back to Yerevan we will visit Ejmiatsin-spiritual center of Armenia. Back to Yerevan and visit Noy Wine, Brandy Factory.

Day 7: Transfer to the airport. Departure. Have a nice flight!
