Tour Overview
Enjoy a day discovering Puglia's wine and gastronomic delights on this private tour near Ruvo di Puglia.
In the morning visit a family-owned Masseria surrounded by the breathtaking landscape of Murgia. You will be shown around the estate by the owners, visiting the vegetable garden, the wheat fields and meeting the resident animals.
You will then move to the kitchen area where you learn about the Apulian wheat and specifically the Senator Cappelli seed - one of the best wheats in the world that is produced at this Masseria. Using this wheat enjoy a hands-on lesson in how to produce bread and focaccia.
This activity will be followed by a light lunch comprising of fresh and organic food produced in the Masseria. A really authentic experience!
In the afternoon you will visit a family-owned winery where, having met the owner, you will be shown around the vineyard, the grape-pressing area, the tanks and barrels area and the champagne storage room. You will learn more about barrels’ selection and production methods, before tasting the winery’s best wines.
