Tour Overview
Learn all about iconic Brunello, the “King of Italian Wine”. Enjoy in-depth visits to two of the area’s most remarkable wine cellars, and a typical Tuscan lunch with wine in a boutique winery.
Full-bodied and delicious, Brunello wine is especially known for its longevity, infact many say that you can keep a bottle for up to 100 years! Among the most famous wines in the world, often awarded by Wine Spectator, it is beloved by Americans, who buy about 175,000 cases each year, and sought after by important wine critics and collectors.
This guided wine tasting tour explores the vineyard-clad hills where Brunello comes to life thanks to a perfect microclimate, ideal terroir and careful traditional expertise. You will learn the fascinating techniques that lie behind the production of Brunello, and how it blends innovative winemaking practices with tradition and local culture.
The tour includes in-depth visits to two of the area’s most remarkable wine cellars where you will sample superb Brunello DOCG, and a hearty typical full Tuscan lunch paired with local wines in a small boutique winery.
A stop will also be made in a typically Tuscan, UNESCO-listed medieval hamlet, where there will be time to roam the cobble-paved streets and pretty piazzas while listening to ancient local tales.
