Tour Overview
Day 01| VELVET WELCOME
Tastemaker tour ⋅ Mixology session ⋅ Late-night cocktails
We gather at our stylish Stockholm hotel this afternoon to get acquainted and meet the local Tastemaker who’ll bring the trip to life. First up, we head out on foot for a Tastemaker-led city walk to get our feet on the ground for the exciting days to come.
As the sun gets low, we settle in for a mixology session with one of the world’s most influential bartenders, a friend of Spirited Stories who’s known for crafting innovative cocktails with the purest Swedish ingredients. Dinner tonight provides a traditional counterpoint to a contemporary afternoon as we gather around a top-rated table for an introduction to traditional Swedish cuisine – with a glass of akvavit of course.
The night continues with drinks at celebrated club Lucy’s Flower Shop, where purple-and-red velvet décor and pure perfection cocktails kick off a night to remember.
Day 02| SAUNAS AND SNAPS
Lakeside sauna ⋅ Spirits museum ⋅ Snaps stop
The day begins with the most traditional of Scandinavian rituals: the lakeside sauna, a natural tonic after a late night. After some time to refresh at the hotel, we lunch at a renowned bistro with show-stopping views, classic Swedish cuisine and a pioneering chef.
This afternoon we visit the Spirits Museum, home to the renowned Absolut Art Collection as well as superbly curated exhibits on the crafting of artisanal spirits in Sweden and beyond. Afterwards you’re free to choose your own adventure. Continue museum-hopping with a visit to the Wasa or Abba Museum or visit Södermalm, the island known to resident hipsters as SoFo, filled with historical architecture, cobbled alleys, bohemian shops and quirky cafés.
After a quick stop at a snaps bar for a restorative glass of the local spirit and a bite of pickled herring on rye, dinner tonight is your call. Your Tastemaker is on hand with tips to cater to any craving.
Day 03| ABSOLUTE BANG
Cult food hall ⋅ Cutting-edge cuisine ⋅ Dance till dawn
Early risers can gather for fika – Swedish for coffee and snacks with friends – and sample the perfect cardamom pastry. Late morning, we take a strolling food tour to sample local delicacies, including a stop at a food hall with a cult following, Östermalm Saluhall. Your Tastemaker will guide you through the myriad artisanal producers to cherry-pick the very best bites.
We kick off a high-energy final night at a neighborhood dive bar that boasts superlative cocktails, before drinks with a comfy vibe and great tunes. The evening rolls on to Tjoget, one of the city’s most celebrated restaurants, featuring reinterpreted tapas and a pair of rebel bartenders who challenge the norms of the industry.
When the time is right, we up the beats at Berns, an Art Nouveau entertainment temple and an institution in this dancefloor-loving city, before moving on to Stockholm’s slickest and most celebrated club to go out with an absolute bang.
