Built in the 17th century, Château de Chamirey has a rich history and tradition of winemaking. This family-run winery has practised its art over generations and had time to perfect its production methods, and now offer the ideal destination for wine lovers looking to explore the wines that Burgundy has to offer. 
 
Château de Chamirey overlooks the vineyards of Mercurey in Côte Chalonnaise so be sure to soak up the stunning views on offer while you enjoy the top-quality wines. You are spoilt for choice with 16 different wines to sample (choose from 8 whites and 8 reds). You can visit the vineyards where you can have a tasting session and learn about the production of the wines.
 
The grapes at Château de Chamirey are hand-harvested and then sorted out before being placed in vats to eliminate the grapes which aren’t yet ripe or are damaged. This is a long but necessary process to make sure that the grapes taken through to production are of the very best quality. The wines are then aged mostly in oak barrels for 18 months and bottled.
