Wines of incomparable character and elegance

Product ID: 53963
Description

Discover Celler Martí Fabra, a 12th century farmstead where wines have been produced for generations on slate soils in the Albera Massif, with vineyards yielding grapes of exceptional quality.

The property has been in the Fabra family since the 12th century and they have documents referencing their vineyards dating back from 1305.

The vineyards are located on the slopes of the Alberes Mountains  surrounded by wild plants and herbs such as thyme, lavender and rosemary, which seem to infuse the wines themselves with floral, spicy and mineral aromas. Unique, beautiful wines.

Masia Carreras is a property consisting of small vineyards (less than one hectare on average) on rough terrain due to changes of level in the soil, which are suitably laid out to make the very most of the sun to favour the maximum development of the aromas and the optimal ripening of the grapes.

The ageing of the wines in the Martí Fabra Winery takes place in the basements of Masia Carreras. Documented since the 12th century the farmhouse has always belonged to the Carreras family which, according to the records preserved, has spent its life dedicated to cultivating vineyards and making wine.
