Discover the Cellar “Vinyes dels Aspres”, located in the municipality of Cantallops, the most northern inland town of Alt Empordà, sheltered by the Albera mountain range, a territory of gently rounded foothills of the Mediterranean Pyrenees.
 
The winery is situated at Can Batlle, an ancestral homestead which appears in records from the 17th century and where wine, olive oil and even cork production date back many years.
 
The vines havev been  family owned for generations. The winery favours traditional varieties, better adapted to the country and with a bold personality, to differentiate the wines and to make them more unique.
 
They use a pneumatic press to produce white wines in accordance with the hightest quality requirements and twelve stainless-steel vats for the maceration and fermentation of grapes at controlled temperatures to produce red wines. The aging of the wine in barrels, all of which are made of French Allier oak, takes place in the ancient cellar as does its final ageing in the bottle.

David Molas, head of the cellar, will show you the nearby vineyards, he will guide you through the facilities and he will explain to you the process of winemaking. Visitors can also tour the new cellar and the old aging cellarm, and enjoy wine tastings and even buy their faavorites. 
 
The visit to the winery can be complemented with the discovery of the natural environment and architecture, particularly the village of Cantallops, the Castle of Requesens and the natural park of Albera. There are several restaurants in Cantallops and Requesens where you can complete your visit with a good meal.
