A different wine experience in Galicia

Tour type: Private , Duration: 9 Hours

Product ID: 53545
Description

Enjoy an exciting visit to Ribeira Sacra, a particular appellation of origin in Galicia, with impossible vineyards hanging from the steep mountainsides that end up in the river Sil.

Discover the area's breathtaking landscapes, where many solitary monasteries were founded back in the middle ages. You will visit a medieval monastery and learn about the culture of winemaking which comes from the monastic period.

You will visit three wine cellars of the three different denominations of origin located in the riverside of the Sil and Miño rivers, that feature very exiting varietals, such as Godello, Mencía or Treixadiura, and enjoy tastings of their "heroic" wines.

The tour will also include a boat ride through the narrow fiords to be able to see some of the vineyards from below.

You will also enjoy a typical meal paired with local wine at a Galician restaurant, and finish with a cup of coffee at a Parador.

Having worked in the wine world for many years as well as in an important wine cellar in Galicia, I have acquired a good knowledge of the area, from small producers to large wineries, making good friends with its owners. Art historian, photographer, and businessman moved from Madrid to Galicia to enjoy and share all the things you can encounter here in Galicia (landscapes, monuments, gastronomy, and of course wine).I can show you the "off the beaten trail" Galicia you want to discover. Come join me!!
