Tour Overview
During spring and summer, locals love to spend evenings with their friends, tasting some traditional food in a typical "baita" surrounded by trees in the woods just outside downtown Como. After a hard day of work, they meet to enjoy the coolness of the woods watching the sunset from the hills and ending the night in typical taverns or restaurants of the area (usually reachable only by foot). Here you can find simple but authentic food of the local tradition, which is difficult to find downtown.
Discover this unique local ritual on this private night walking tour. Walk, eat, drink some wine and chat; socialise in the old fashioned way. You will walk on simple paths on the hills surrounding the city centre where casual tourists are difficult to meet. These aren't fancy places that you can find on the cover of tourism magazines, these are important places for locals to chill with friends and families. Finally, you will visit a baita to enjoy some local food. It will be a real local evening experience.
Depending on the daily menu, this is the local dishes you may find at the restaurant: homemade ravioli; homemade pasta with seasonal ragu; creamy risotto with robiola cheese, hazelnuts and rosemary; vitello tonnato (veal with tuna sauce), slow roasted pork fillet, seasonal tartare, fresh vegetables and daily desserts.
