Tour Overview
Learn how to cook the traditional dishes of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio with this cooking class at Villa Vetrichina, a beautiful farmhouse built at the end of the 18th century, located in Siena, Tuscany.
The courses will be rich in flavor and taste, and are very genuine, mostly using produce and herbs harvested from the garden. The lesson will be based on authentic cuisine handed down from moms and grandmothers for generations.
The recipes will be seasonal, because this area offers excellent culinary products. To start, you will be introduced to the raw ingredients whilst enjoying a welcome snack or breakfast paired with a Rosso Montepulciano house wine, coffee and water.
Then you will learn the different techniques for hand-making noodles, pies, dumplings, stuffed pasta, and pizza. You'll then learn techniques for sauces, roasting, and different types of cooking. After the cooking is done, you will sit together with the chef and enjoy the wonderful five-course dinner you have prepared, surrounded by nature.
