Experience Scotland's magnificent scenery and fantastic natural produce, and sample some of the country's finest whiskies with this 4-day exclusive whisky experience.
Your trip will start in Speyside and include a fantastic day visiting well known distilleries, a day travelling south with visits to at least one distillery as well as carefully chose points of interst along the way. The tour will finish in Edinburgh. Two nights will be spent in Speyside and two in Edinburgh.
Day 1: Upon arrival, you will be collected from the airport and taken to your hotel in the heart of Speyside where you can relax, explore the local surroundings or enjoy sampling the offerings in the hotel’s whisky bar.
Day 2: Today you can choose from a list of Speyside distilleries which include well known names such as Macallan, Glenfarclas, Balvenie, and Glenlivet for a tour and tasting. All of the distilleries give a warm welcome to guests, interesting tours, delicious tastings and the opportunity to buy whisky directly from the source.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at the beautiful Ballindalloch Castle, which you may wish to visit. A visit to the Whisky Shop Dufftown and a whisky flight back at the hotel finish off the day.
Day 3: You will visit The Speyside Cooperage before travelling south through the Cairngorms, Perthshire and Fife to Edinburgh, with a stop at Dalwhinnie Distillery for their chocolate and whisky tasting and a distillery tour.
A late lunch stop will be en route at The House of Bruar, where guests can also enjoy a spectacular shopping experience.
If time allows, other stops which can be incorporated include beauty spots, battle locations, view points, pretty villages and a famous chocolate maker. Accommodation is in a 4-star Edinburgh city centre hotel.
Day 4: The morning starts with a visit to Glenkinchie Distillery, about thirty minutes from Edinburgh, for a tour of a Lowland region distillery. An independent craft beer brewery tasting is a possible stop on the return journey.
