Fattoria di Poggio Capponi has a long history dating back to as far as the end of the 1400s. It was at this time on realizing what a great area it was, being both suitable for agriculture and holidays, and being an easy distance to Florence, that the Capponi family created the farm, hence its name "Poggio Capponi".
 
For years after this, generation upon generation of farmers have settled in the area and have worked on the cultivation of the vines, olive groves and wheat keeping up the fantastic quality and beauty of the area.
 
Now run by the Rousseau Colzi family, Fattoria di Poggio Capponi continues to be an enchanting place full of charm and beauty where you can relax amongst the rolling green hills and taste the products of Chianti.
 
Situated high-up, the views of the woods, vineyards and olive groves are not to be missed and walks amongst them are highly recommended.
