Winery Overview
Fattoria Dianella is located on the picturesque Tuscan rolling hills of Vinci, the native town of Leonardo da Vinci. The Estate is situated in the Chianti DOCG area, an area praised for the production of smooth wines with deep flavours.
Francesco and Veronica Passerin d'Entrèves have worked to create an impressive winery. They follow all stages of the production from the vineyards to the cellar, offering a selection of traditional products made with the philosophy that wine must be an expression of its terroir.
The desire to share their passion for wines led to Francesco and Veronica creating a museum dedicated to the process of winemaking in the ancient cellars of Fattoria Dianella.
The winery also offers a charming and intimate wine resort, Villa Dianella, to any visiting wine lovers, which makes it the perfect base for discovering the natural and artistic beauties of the surrounding area, as well as nearby Florence, Lucca, Pisa and Siena. The villa dates back to the end of the 16th century when it was used by the Medici as a country house for hunting. Its name, Dianella, comes from the name Diana, the hunting goddess.
Wine tourists can enjoy guided tours, tastings and exciting wine experiences or try their hand at a cooking lesson when visiting.
