Bodegas Ontañón

Discover Bodega Ontañón, a multi-generational, family-owned winery located in Logroño, in the heart of La Rioja.

Bodega Ontañón's 250 hectares of vineyard sit high in the Sierra Yerga Mountains outside of the township of Quel, which has been one of Rioja’s outstanding winemaking centres for three centuries.

The winery takes great pride in maintaining these vineyards in the most sustainable manner possible, as it is this land which supports the family's tradition in wine. Their motto is “Passion for the vine, passion for wine and passion for art”, as they believe that each of these elements contributes to the human experience and illustrates the vital connection of the land to people and culture.

The current owners belong to the fourth-generation of the Perez family to be involved at Ontañon. The family passes on their love for the wines and their vineyard land from generation to generation, so that someday, the fifth generation will hopefully also carry on this tradition.

Wine lovers can discover how the bodega makes its wine during an entertaining tour around the wine tanks, casks and cellar, where the wine rests guarded by its God. The tour will end in the Winebar "La Sacristia" with a wine tasting.
