Pacheca The Wine House Hotel

Discover Pacheca The Wine House Hotel, one of Douro Valley’s best-known country house hotels, integrated in the Quinta da Pacheca, a pioneer in the bottling of their own wine brand.

The property, with its traditional 18th century architecture, was restored in 2009 and is now a boutique hotel with 15 rooms. The hotel retains its rural charm, but with contemporary features and modern comfort. With the vineyard and wine as its inspiration and environment, the hotel is entirely devoted to gastronomic and oenological tourism, combining a modern and ‘avant-garde’ image with sobriety and elegance.

In 2017 Quinta da Pacheca created the Wine Barrels, bold architectural projects of suites in the form of wine pipes for a unique stay amongst the vines.

The main building houses the Wine House Restaurant which offers a varied and tempting menu which respects the concept of traditional Portuguese cuisine and uses the typical products of Douro.

The hotel is open all year, and every season there is a new experience to be enjoyed, such as cooking classes, grape stomping or picnics. The hotel offers daily-guided tours of the winery and wine tastings. There is also a wine shop where you can find the full range of wines from the company, as well as regional products.
