This private 5-day wine tasting tour offers a comprehensive exploration of Armenia’s wine regions. Spend five delicious days sipping your way around this fascinating part of the ancient wine world, interspersed with visits to some of the region’s cultural highlights.
On arrival at Yerevan airport you will be met and transferred to your centrally located Yerevan hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure to explore independently. In the evening we recommend visiting one of the wine bars a short walk from your hotel.
Today, accompanied by your local guide, enjoy a tour of Yerevan, Armenia’s capital city. In addition to visiting the city’s historical highlights, the tour includes visits to two brandy distilleries, the NOY and the Ararat, where you will learn more about Armenian Brandy.
Today will be spent exploring the Areni wine region. Stops will be made at three wineries, one of which will also be a lunch stop. The highlight for many will be a visit to the oldest winery ever found (some 6,100 years old), which is located in an ancient cave system. You will also have the chance to look around the Noravank monastery historical site.
Today your wine tasting tour will focus on a different Armenian wine region: Voskevaz. Before you start sipping, your day begins with a visit to the atmospheric Ambert fortress. Then you will enjoy visits to three wineries, with tours and tastings at each, including lunch at one of these.
