
Tour Overview
In this wine tour we will head towards the south of Porto to the Bairrada region, famous for its gastronomy but also for the fantastic wines it produces with its characteristic grape variety: Baga.
The day will start at an iconic Winery in Bairrada, known for being one of the first producers in the region to bring innovative techniques of production when it comes to the sparkling and table wine from Bairrada. We will explore the production process, the vineyards and end the visit with, of course, a wine tasting!
Lunch awaits us! It's then time to taste the typical delicacy of Bairrada – the roasted suckling pig. If you don't like the idea, this local restaurant has other typical portuguese dishes waiting for you!
Next, visit a classic Bairrada sparkling wine cellar with over 80 years of history. Go through their tunnels, take a look at the 2 million bottles of sparkling wine and understand its process of production and ageing. At the end taste white and red Bairrada DOC wines and a sparkling wine.
Then, we'll head out to the last winery of the day, where you will witness the dedication and passion of production of wine passed on for 3 generations.
