Arriving at the harbour of Alella harbour a private transfer will take you to visit a family-run winery for a tour and tasting. This beautiful 14th-century wine estate is surrounded by vineyards and the Mediterranean sea. 

Arriving at the winery you will be greeted by an expert sommelier who will take you on a tour of the estate. Start with a walk through the vineyards which are now cultivated using organic and modern techniques.

You will continue your tour through the winery, finding out about the fascinating history of Alella wines. At the end of your tour you will enjoy a guided tasting of their wines.

After a relaxing afternoon sailing and tasting Alella wines, it’s time to drive back to Barcelona where your guide will drop you off at 6pm.

Alella's rich wine-making history

Alella wines in the Middle Ages were the favourites in the Barcelona Seu. They later became one of the highest quality Catalonian wines exported throughout the world. Exports were particularly important to the overseas colonies where there was a large population of Catalans.
