Journey back to the time of the Huguenots with a visit to the Boschendal Manor House Museum. Dating back to 1812 the historic Cape Vernacular Manor House is one of the only period re-stored residences offering a glimpse into the lives of the second Huguenot family that made Boschendal a dynasty and one of the most important farms of their time.
Besides the impressive collection of old trees on the Estate, Boschendal boasts immaculate award winning gardens that are a haven of serenity and beauty - the Rose Garden, the Herb Garden and the Garden of Healing. For many people, Boschendal is synonymous with its herb and rose gardens, drawing visitors from around the world!
Boschendal has 3 restaurants and a Wine Bar that provide the perfect hospitality and food for any mood or occasion in style befitting our Estate. The Restaurant is situated in the original cellar of the Manor House and serves delicious extensive buffet luncheons daily. Le Pique Nique is situated in the famous Pavillion lawns immersed in the breathtaking beauty of the mountains and vineyards. Le Café is a relaxed bistro located in the original slave quarters of the Boschendal Manor House, offering delicious seasonal menus and light al fresco faire perfect for brunch, lunch or afternoon tea.
