Château Le Pape

Château Le Pape

A discreet retreat, an oasis of calm in Bordeaux's historic Graves region

Product ID: 53998
Description

At the doorstep of Bordeaux and half a mile away from Chateau Haut-Bailly, Château Le Pape overlooks a 9 hectare vineyard.

The elegant 18th century house and its gardens were entirely renovated according to heritage conservation rules, revealing the finesse of the architecture and the priviledged location of Château Le Pape.

Constructed by master sailmaker Pierre Bobineau in 1805, the charming Château Le Pape has a rich history and heritage of its own, home to many artists and painters over the past two centuries. Robert G. Wilmers purchased Le Pape in 2012 for the quality of the vineyard, the elegance of the architecture and for its sublime, secluded location. 2015 marked the completion of a significant renovation of the chateau, its guestrooms and gardens and the beginning of a new chapter in luxury hospitality.

The natural beauty that envelops the fine guestrooms of Le Pape continues to prove a source of unbridled inspiration for all who visit. Bright and comfortable, the bedrooms (420 to 750 sq.ft for the suite), offer a serene atmosphere.
