Your St. Emilion e-bike and wine tour itinerary
9am: Your tour departs from your meeting point in the centre of Bordeaux (26 Rue de la Devise, 33000) for a quick 45-minute drive by comfortable minivan to Saint-Émilion, where your wine adventure begins. (You can also choose to join the tour from St.Emilion – the meeting point here is 8 rue André Loiseau, 33330).
11am Chateau visit: Arriving in St.Emilion you’ll hop on your trusty e-bike and make a 20 minute ride through the St.Emilion vineyards to arrive at your first château tour and tasting. Your expert local guide will tell you all about the winemaking process and its history before inviting you to a guided wine tasting of several different wines and vintages from the chateau.
12.15 pm Chateau lunch: Next up it's time for lunch at the chateau! You'll enjoy a delicious French picnic with a wide variety of breads, cheeses, cold meats and wine which will be enjoyed in the wonderful setting of the chateau.
2.30 pm Chateau visit: After your chateau visit you will be back on your e-Bike and off to the next leg of your wine tour to visit another prestigious château. You will enjoy a tour of the chateau and a wine tasting.
(Please note: We aim to ensure both chateau visits are at Grand Cru Classe chateaux however this depends on availability on the selected day. We will ensure that at least one of the visits is to a Grand Cru Classe chateaux).
4pm St.Emilion village tour: Your e-bike and wine tour will end with a leisurely cycle ride back to Saint-Émilion village where you will discover the famous cobbled streets, the cloisters and the surrounding views of the vineyards. And, for those who’d like to continue their discovery of St Emilion wines you can make a visit and tasting at a wine merchant’s cellar.
5/5.30pm: Arrive back in Bordeaux centre.
- On this tour, you will ride approximately 20km through 4 different appellations in comfort (even uphill) and pass many stunning viewpoints so don't forget your camera!
